If you know me, you know the above warning just made me want to pick this up. OH. MY. GOD. Seriously. Both the Hero and heroine described are the types of characters that call to me. Honestly, I’m a sucker for these types. I knew I was in for one hell of ride.

“Shut up with the backtalk, because if I wanted lip from you, I’d sit on your face.”

I fuckin’ loved Bronagh! Now, I must warn you, that Bronagh (pronounced Bro-nah) isn’t for everyone. She’s definitely not your typical heroine and I loved her more because of it. She’s a curvy, smart Irish lass. She’s bossy and takes no crap from anyone. I’d like to consider her an acquired taste, so to speak. Not only did she capture my interest, but she also managed to capture the attention of Dominic, the new, hot, American student in her school.

I didn’t know what it was about him, but he got to me way too easy, and he knew it. Even though I was afraid of him, I was ready to fight with him and bloody kiss him all at the same time.

Dominic and Damien, his twin brother, moved abroad from the States. Both are gorgeous and demand your attention. While Damien is known as the ‘nice’ brother, Dominic is overwhelmingly stubborn and completely badass. He immediately butted heads with Bronagh. No girl has ever pissed him off as much as she has. She appealed to him immediately.

“When I said you were in a different league than any girl here, I meant you’re more beautiful than them. You’re the best-looking girl I’ve ever seen, period. I call you pretty girl for a reason other than to piss you off, Bronagh.”

It was known, almost instantly, that these two hated each other…or did they? You know what they say: There’s a thin line between love and hate. These two walked that fine line constantly. They fought each other tooth and nail. As much as I loved Bronagh, I did want to slap her a couple times throughout the story. I wasn’t sure if it was the language/accent barrier, but she certainly took a few things the wrong way (phat vs. fat for example). Poor Dominic, he had his work cut out getting through this girl.

“You’ve always been mine, pretty girl. You just didn’t know it.”

As much as I loved Dominic and Bronagh’s story, this was not an easy read, at times. As much as I loved their bantering, it did reach a point where I wanted to smack both of them to snap out of it. Luckily, it was around this time when they finally did so I was able to enjoy the rest of the story without getting too pissed off. This had just the right amount of steam, too – I mean, these two were pretty hot between the sheets.

I’m so excited to hear that each Slater brother will be getting his own books because they were all seriously sexy. I’m a bit disappointed to hear that Damien will be last, but after this ended, I can understand why. Either way, bring it!
