Liam “Hunter”
Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty.
He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever
weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a
daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he
saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.
Em has lived
her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father,
Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot
him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy
than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who
isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her
father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.
Or so she thinks.

There’s
a reason the club calls me Hunter.
Well. Fuck. Me.
I shouldn’t be
surprised, but Joanna Wylde has done it again. How does this woman do it?
Continuously? Ms. Wylde is up there with Madeline Sheehan as a go-to MC
author for me. And her latest book just proves why her MC series is one of my
favorites.
Do you have any
idea how ecstatic I was when I got a hold of this book? I swore and screamed
when it happened. Ever since I finished the last Reapers’ book back in January,
I desperately wanted Hunter and Em’s story. At the end of book two, we were
left wondering what happened between Em and Hunter.
Now
every rock of my hips was a betrayal of my club, my family, the father who’d
given everything to take care of me through the years. But I was empty, and the
growing ridge of Hunter’s erection would fill me perfectly – I knew it as
surely as I knew he wasn’t real.
Their
relationship is…complicated. Very. Complicated.
Em is the
daughter of the President of the Reapers’ MC. Hunter is a member of Devil’s
Jacks MC, rivals of the Reapers. To Em, he was known only as Liam, Hunter’s
real name, and she doesn’t know his true intentions or his true motive. They
met and got to know one another through the Internet, and a connection was
formed. Once they met in real life, Em’s life was never the same.
I wasn’t
going to share her – not now, not ever. This body was mine. All mine. Best
present ever. Fuck if knew what I’d done to deserve it, but not a chance in
hell I’d let her get away.
Em started off
as Hunter’s assignment, but what he got was so much more. He doesn’t want to admit
it, but the more he got to know her, the harder it was to continue the lie.
Lines start to blur and feelings start to get into the mix. The truth
eventually comes out.
“I gave
you your space, let you go. But you came back, so now you’re fair game. I’m
done being the nice guy.”
I LOVED Hunter
and Em’s story. Their chemistry was hot, especially when the H/h are as strong
willed as these two. When I finished book two, I was a bit worried at how
Hunter and Em will work out, considering they’re from different MCs, plus let’s
not forget that Em has had a crush on fellow Reaper, Painter. I honestly
thought I would be stuck in a who’s better for Em debate, but after
reading this, it was no doubt that Hunter deserved her more. I’m sorry,
Painter, but you missed your chance. That’s what happens when guys don’t step
up to the plate and claim their woman. Tisk Tisk. Oh well. C’est la vie!
Wow! What an excellent addition to the Reapers series. Loved it!
