G-Men Holiday Wrap (G-Man #3.5) by Andrea Smith

Spend the holidays with the G-Men, their women and extended family as they cruise the Caribbean in first class accommodations compliments of Easton Matthews!

This novella takes place 14 months after the conclusion of "Night Moves." Darcy was promised a lavish ball to celebrate her elopement with Easton Matthews once she felt up to it. Darcy has decided she would much prefer a 12-day cruise on the Caribbean, with friends and family as their guests. Even the best-laid plans can go awry when you have the G-Men and their women aboard "The Lust Boat!"

This book playfully wraps up the G-Man Series, with the usual unpredictable circumstances, along with misunderstandings, love and lots of humor! You will read chapters from each character's point of view, and learn a few things about some of the characters you didn’t know.

There will be a surprise visit from someone you would least expect to drop by during this holiday vacay.

Along with that, there are bonus chapters at the end that will satisfy readers of the previous book as to what happened right after that horrific incident in New York City with Sammie and Slate, and Lindsey and Taz. As a reader, you will be a voyeur into their private and intimate moments right after the shooting in Mullaly Park.

As a special bonus, a never seen, never-meant-to-be-seen 'secret' chapter from "Love Plus One" will be included for entertainment (and shock) purposes only!

Five Stars

OMG! This little surprise visit with my G-Men and their amazing women was EFFING FANTASTIC!!

I loved every second of this story!! We get to spend the holidays with Sammie & Slate, Lindsay & Taz, Darcy & Easy E, Colin & Ronnie and Eli & Cain as they all take a holiday cruise to the Caribbean together!

Of course with this group there is drama, hot sex and many times I laughed right out loud as we spend the twelve days of Christmas G-Men style!

This was a great little holiday gift and I want to thank Andrea Smith and plead that this isn't the last time I get to visit with my G-Men and there amazing women.

For anyone who loves the G-Man series this is a must read. It even includes bonus chapters, Q&A with the characters(these made me totally crack up!!) and a very sadistic 'FAKE' chapter :)

Enjoy y'all and Happy Holidays!!!

When It's Right by Jeanette Grey

"He's the last resolution she intends to break. "

Still licking his wounds after a messy breakup, Nate is at loose ends for New Year's Eve and itching for a wild and crazy adventure to jolt him out of his rut. Now if he could only convince his best friend, Cassie, to break away for an impromptu road trip to Times Square.

Fun as it sounds, Cassie is reluctant to accept Nate's invitation. Little does he know, she's made resolutions of her own-resolutions about finally getting over her long-standing crush on him. Telling herself this trip will be the perfect "last hurrah," she packs her bag.

The trip is a fiasco from the outset. A car that won't start, a freak storm that strands them on the side of the road, and a long drive with too much time for true confessions. Cassie's rocks Nate to the core, leaving him wondering if the best thing that ever happened to him has been right in front of him all along.

Warning: Contains two best friends, a secret crush, and a road trip that leads to tow trucks, unexpected hotel-room sharing, epiphanies, sex, and more.

Four Stars

She almost forgot that everything between them was up in the air. Because it was just her and him. Her and her very best friend, and that was simple. As simple as breathing.”

Have you ever gone on a trip where everything goes wrong? Well, that is exactly what happens in this heart-warming novella. When It's Right is centered during the holidays around New Years. Cassie has had a crush on Nate for years. She's always wanted more with him, but he only sees her as his best friend. The decision to go on an impromptu road trip to New York seems cursed from the start.

I just adore Jeanette Grey's writing! She has a knack for exploring the emotional connection between two people. I loved how Ms. Grey delicately handled the situations of comfortable friendship, longing and hope, and then the realization of love one has for the other. Cassie and Nate were each others rock during trying times. Sometimes a string of unfortunate events can be a blessing in disguise for two people really meant to be together. Sweet, sensual, romantic, When It's Right is a friends-to-lovers short story that made me smile!

Blog Tour ~ Christmas in Tahoe by Elisabeth Barrett Guest Post, Review & Giveaway!

We are so excited to have Elisabeth Barrett stop by with a special holiday guest post today!  The giveaway details are down below.

Holiday Traditions by Elisabeth Barrett

No matter what holidays you celebrate, around this time of year, it seems like everyone has their own traditions. One friend of mine savors each and every holiday card she receives and creates a beautiful “tree” out of them which she displays year-round. Another friend meticulously wraps her gifts in newsprint with stories she thinks the recipient will enjoy.

I have traditions of my own. For instance, I love gingerbread, and every year, I simply must decorate a gingerbread house. Before I had kids, I’ll admit to feeling a little sheepish buying a kit for myself, but now I don’t have to hide my obsession—I get to share it with children who are just as excited (if not more so) than I am! There’s nothing quite like assembling the cookie house, tilting the pieces just so to ensure that nothing tips over. Or swiping a “broken” candy cane to eat. Or making sickly sweet icing from that little plastic bag ooze all over the base to create a snowy walkway (which of course you get to eat after it has hardened).

I also love the decorations—not just my own, but those in my neighborhood. There’s nothing quite like driving around in the dark with the heat on, oohing and ahhing over all the amazing lights and displays. One street in my town is nicknamed “Christmas Tree Lane,” and every year, Mr. B and I drive over with the kids to gape at the incredible spectacle—houses all decked out in full holiday glory with dancing snowmen, galloping reindeer, and a giant Santa popping out of the chimney. It’s quite the sight.

My most important holiday tradition, however, is simply spending time with family. I can’t think of anything better than spending time with those I love.

In my holiday novella CHRISTMAS IN TAHOE, being with family over a long Christmas weekend isn’t in the cards for the main characters Ann and Chase. Ann is recovering from a devastating personal loss, and Chase is recovering from a devastating professional one. Yet there’s something about Tahoe, especially over Christmastime, that brings out the best in both of them. As they learn to move past their respective hurts, they find comfort in each other and learn to trust and love again.

And isn’t being with loved ones what the holidays are truly all about?

About CHRISTMAS IN TAHOE:
Silicon Valley actuary Ann Smith is an expert at calculating probabilities, but lately the odds haven’t been in her favor. Two years ago her fiancé died a week before their planned Christmas wedding, leaving Ann heartbroken and alone. When a friend suggests heading up to Lake Tahoe for a long Christmas weekend of skiing, wine, and relaxation, Ann thinks it might be just the thing to help get her life back on track. But Ann’s plans go awry when her friend cancels at the last minute, and Ann ends up driving to Tahoe with Chase Deckert, a sexy snowboarder who pushes all her buttons.

Chase Deckert is a man who lives by his own rules. A few years ago his business partner betrayed him by selling out their biomedical research for a quick profit. Chase left science far behind, and now spends his days snowboarding in Tahoe, wanting nothing to do with the dog-eat-dog world of Silicon Valley. Chase has closed his mind and his heart and only believes in one thing: fate. But fate seems to be in a giving mood, because joining him for Christmas is a brave, beautiful woman who shows him the true meaning of the season and helps him rediscover a part of himself he’d long forgotten.

Fueled by the mountain scenery, the season, and their unbelievable chemistry, Ann and Chase end up learning more about each other—and themselves—than they ever imagined possible. Can one long, steamy Christmas help them realize they’re meant to be together? Or when the holiday is over will they be right back where they started?

Five Stars

Sign me up for one of Chase Deckert's snowboarding lessons, please!

I don't know about you, but when the holiday season is in full swing, I tend to be in the mood for some romantic holiday reads! Christmas in Tahoe was everything I wanted, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I truly enjoyed this novella.

Ann Smith is still mourning the loss of her fiancé, who had passed away around Christmastime a few years back. It's been hard for her to move on, and understandably so, the holiday season tends to not be a merry one. Ann and her friend make plans for a fun getaway in Lake Tahoe during Christmas, but at the last minute her friend can't make the trip and instead sends someone else to accompany Ann.

Oh, y'all need to meet Chase Deckert! He's one hunky snowboarder, and ultra SMART...PhD level smart! I find that combo in a man really HOT! Although bio-tech companies are after his research, there's a huge reason why he left Silicon Valley. He was all set to spend Christmas alone until a friend asked for a favor. Once Chase gets to know Ann, he realizes she's no plain Jane! She totally surprises him that she can handle her skis, and they continue to have a fun time together.

The setting in Tahoe was delightfully written. I felt like I was transported to the top of the snowy mountain with Chase and Ann. It's a perfect place for romance to blossom. Ms. Barrett also injects some local San Francisco Bay Area flair into this story, which made me smile! Chase and Ann are two broken souls. I love it when people get a second chance at happiness! Christmas in Tahoe is sexy, smart, and filled with the perfect amount of holiday spirit! Roxy, the black lab is adorable, too!

Blog Tour - The Redhead Plays Her Hand (Redhead #3) by Alice Clayton

The third sexy novel in USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton’s playful and erotic Redhead series continues the sizzling romance between actress Grace Sheridan and Hollywood’s hottest leading man Jack Hamilton.
Grace has landed the lead in a new TV series—but when the director asks her to lose fifteen pounds, she goes public with her weight struggles and suddenly develops a huge fan club who support her right to have curves. But between that and the public’s continuing fascination with her “are they or aren’t they” relationship with Jack, Grace begins to wonder if anyone’s really interested in her because of her upcoming TV series, or if it’s all speculation about the size of her ass and her bedroom partner.

Meanwhile, Jack is voted the Sexiest Man Alive and becomes a little too enamored with the party-hard lifestyle. Grace vows to give him the space he needs to find himself, but then he begins to spiral down from lovable Brit to Hollywood brat. People are talking, but are Jack and Grace? Her career is on the rise, and his continues into the stratosphere, but will she be able to catch him if he falls? Will they ever be able to just be a couple who can hold hands when they walk down the street?
Four Stars

Schmaltz

I am such a HUGE fan of this series. LIKE. HUGE! I’ve read the first two books, like, a million times. You don’t know how much this couple means to me; how much this series means to me. Jack is my all-time favorite Brit Book Boyfriend. He was my first non Mr. Darcy, non-PNR and completely Adult contemporary Brit Boyfriend. Jack means the world to me. And as for Grace, well she’s just fucking fantastic. I love that she was older, curvier, whip-smart and flat out fun as hell.

This is so bittersweet for me. I can’t believe it’s finally over. OMG, I think I’m starting to freak out now. I mean, there will be no more George & Gracie.
No more Sweet Nuts & Nuts Girl.
No more sexy British accent.
No more hitting the J-spot.
No more happy trails or sparkling boobies.
No more Golden Girls.
No more scratching of Jack’s head.
No more super sexy Scientist Guy.
No more sexy lip biting.
No more schmaltz.

Sigh
No more Jack & Grace.

Yup, it’s official: I’m tearing up.

**Possible spoilers below**

Hamiltoned

For those looking for same funny moments similar to those in the previous books, you will be a little disappointed to know that this didn’t really contain a lot of those laugh out loud moments. This one had a little more drama and little more emotion to it.

It wasn’t perfect and I have to admit that I was a little nervous when I first started. I loved where book two ended, but a huge part of me craved for more. When I first read the synopsis to this, my first thought was, “oh, fuck! Nothing better happen my Jack and Grace.” I was so freaking nervous. But let me ease your minds a bit by saying it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Yes, Jack was a bit of a knob in this story, but rest assured, he does prevail.

Speaking of my favorite Brit, I felt so much emotion for Jack. He was spiraling out of control and as much as Grace wanted to help him, he just kept pushing her away. I didn’t like to see my perfect Brit behave this way. Plus it didn’t help that they couldn’t be together publicly. I had such a hard time believing the reasons why and as much as it frustrated me, I eventually, yet albeit reluctantly, understood. But still. I wanted everyone in the world to know that they were together. When that finally happened, I literally had a huge, goofy, stupid smile on my face. I must’ve read that part at least another three times because all I could think about was FINALLY! **Fist pump**

Grand gesture

Le Sigh…

I really don’t know what else to say, except to say once again that I will so miss this series. When I finished it, I was happy, yes, but it was so bittersweet. What are the chances Ms. Clayton will give us an extended epilogue or something? I would DIE of happiness for one more little snippet of my favorite couple. But alas, I can only hope. At least I will always have these books to turn to if I’m ever in a book funk. Jack and Grace have forever imprinted themselves in my heart and in my soul. I just love this couple to pieces. Thank you Ms. Clayton for giving us this series. Seriously. This series is one of my all-time favorites and I’m glad you gave us proper closure to this fantastic series. Just bloody brilliant.

The Dark Light of Day by T.M. Frazier

Warning: This is not your typical romance. The story of Abby & Jake contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, rape, strong language, drug use, and all types of abuse.

Abby has been through hell and has survived one of the most brutal childhoods imaginable…barely.

To the outside world she's just a loner with an attitude.

When her grandmother dies in a tragic explosion, Abby is left with questions-and nothing else.

Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, she meets Jake, a tattooed blue-eyed biker with secrets that will rival her own.

Two broken souls that can't be healed. They can't be saved.

Abby & Jake must reveal to one another their most guarded secrets and discover if they can embrace the darkness those secrets hold-and the darkness within themselves.

If they can accept one another for who they really are, they might be able to learn that love isn’t always found in the light.

*stand alone novel, HEA in a twisted kind of way, no cliffhangers, no sequel

**Warning: This is not your typical romance. The story of Abby & Jake contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, rape, strong language, drug use, and all types of abuse.**

This completely sums up this story!! It is also the reason I loved this book! It wasn't pretty, it wasn't sweet, it was the story of two people that needed and understood each other finding one another!

Sick twisted Abby was in love, with sick twisted, beautiful Jake.

Abby and Jake have both live somewhat horrific lives and quite a bit of their story may not be what you'd call morally right, but it works. Sometimes revenge is needed and if your white knight wears a black hat instead and can get that revenge on your behalf than so be it!

I know we all want to say that we would be the bigger person and let fate or karma or the system punish those that hurt us or people we loved but I DON'T AGREE! That is where my love for this book comes in, neither Abby or Jake have any issues with doing what needs to be done!! The bad guys eventually get whats coming to them, and in doing so help out Hero and Heroine begin to heal and live their lives together.

“I fell asleep that night in the arms of a killer. I'd never slept better.”~Abby

This is not an easy story, it hurts to read some of the horrible this that our beloved characters go through, but if you can you will experience a wonderful story of love and triumph of two very lost and broken souls.
We were just us, broken and bruised, fucked-up and messy, and together we were everything we never thought we could be.
