Down to You by Addison Kline

There is nothing I love more than a love story that reunites lovers and see's them get their HEA! Except maybe a love story that reunites lovers at Christmas!!

The moment I read the synopsis of this book I WAS IN!!

Holly and Brandt had the perfect marriage, that is until they face a crisis that tears them apart. Now, I have to stop here an state yet again how important COMMUNICATION is in a relationship!! But then, I guess without the fall of their marriage we wouldn't have this amazing story of love and redemption!! I'm just sayin'!!

Now 2 years later, divorced and both incredibly unhappy because they both still love each other, Holly and Brandt need to decide if it is possible to lay the past to rest and put their family back together! With the help of their friends and family it is absolutely beautiful. My favorite thing about this story is the love! The love between our couple and their friends and family! Everyone should have friends and family like the ones in this story! I cried a couple of different times in this book and to me that is the sign of a great story!

This story has a little bit of everything, love reunited at Christmas, a beautiful New Years Eve wedding, with a bar fight thrown in to give out hero a little Alpha action!!

This book was provided to me by the author in exchange for an honest review and I thank you Addison, this was a beautiful story!!

Guest Post & Giveaway: Off Chance by Sawyer Bennett

Bestselling author Sawyer Bennett has released her latest New Adult Contemporary novel in the Off Series! We have a guest post and giveaway below to help celebrate!

 FACTS ABOUT OFF CHANCE

  • Most importantly, this was supposed to be the last book in the Off Series but I’ve had such an outpouring of requests to keep writing… I’m happy to report that this is NOT the last book. There will be others, but after I get a few other projects complete!
  • Not to give away a spoiler, but there is a huge scene in the book involving Emily and Nix from Off Limits and it’s based almost exactly off a very important moment in my personal life.
  • Fire fighters are hot! It’s a fact!
  • There is a really cute, fuzzy and rambunctious dog in this book named, Capone! He’s based off of my own puppy goodness… my Bernese Mountain Dog, Atticus.
  • I sobbed like a baby when I finished writing the prologue. Warning: It might make you cry, too.
  • You will get really good updates in this book on all of the past Off characters… Ryan, Danny, Emily, Nix, Linc, Ever, Renner and Cillian!

AUTHOR’S TAKE ON FLYNN CALDWELL

Flynn Caldwell is a real hero! He works for the NYFD, a career choice he made after suffering a very tragic loss when he was younger. His experiences drive him to always want to save things, and his eyes are now set on Rowan Page.

Flynn is about the most genuine leading man I have ever written. He has nothing but good intentions, he’s filled with loyalty and he is adored by everyone. When I set out to write Flynn’s character, I wanted to create a hero that every man could aspire to be. It doesn’t mean he is without flaws… because he has them. But he is also someone that learns quickly and is always striving to become a better person. He will make you swoon… repetitively.

AUTHOR’S TAKE ON ROWAN PAGE

Rowan was a bit of a difficult character to write because she does have quite a screwed up past that tends to get in her way of finding her happily ever after. There are probably going to be times you want to shake her, particularly when you see how fabulous Flynn is. But she has a process to work through in order to be able to trust her feelings. The best thing about Rowan is that she wants more… I mean, really craves to have that something special she never thought she was good enough for, so she goes through a lot of internal conflict to get the strength to seek it. It’s quite a journey she takes and she makes a huge transformation on her path to self discovery.

 Release: October 21, 2013

 He is seeking absolution.

Flynn Caldwell has a hero complex and it’s one of the reasons he joined the New York City Fire Department. He has spent his entire professional career trying to atone for that one person he failed to save. Because, if he can do that, then perhaps he can be worthy of love again.

She is seeking escape.

Rowan Page’s life is nothing short of a disaster. Always immersed in trouble, she has only herself to depend on. She’s determined to pull herself out of this mess and make something of her life, despite the hard years she has lived on the streets of New York.

Together, they have the chance to become complete.

Flynn and Rowan’s worlds exist miles apart, but when a chance meeting brings them together, neither of them can deny the instant pull that connects them to each other. What starts as a tiny spark eventually flares into a fire so hot, it refuses to be extinguished.

Both are willing to jump feet first into the flames to see where it takes them, despite the risk of being burned.

Each book in the Off Series can be read as a standalone.

The Missionary by Jack Wilder

Ex-Navy SEAL Stone Pressfield has a bad feeling about the proposed church missions trip to Manila, Philippines. The college-age church group plans to go to Manila and help victims of the sex-trafficking industry. Stone's lingering nightmare memories about the sex-trafficking industry have him warning church leaders that the trip is a bad idea. He knows all too well that it could end in violence, and those involved aren't to be trifled with.

When beautiful Wren Morgan goes missing, he has a sick feeling that he knows exactly who took her, and for what purpose. The problem is, Wren isn't just any other student. She's someone he's close to, someone he cares about. Now she's in the hands of cruel, evil men, and Stone is the only one who can rescue her before the unthinkable happens.

BRAVO, MR. WILDER, BRAVO!!! AMAZING DEBUT NOVEL!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved this book!

Wren and Stone were such real characters to me. When you venture into a story like this one, well, when I do anyway, it is very intense to read simply because we all know that human trafficking and sexual slavery is a real and horrific thing.

One of my favorite things about this book was watching both Wren and Stone grow and evolve right before my eyes as they survived this horrendous ordeal! And watch them fall in love.

One issue I normally have with male authors is the way that they write love and/or sex scenes. But again I say BRAVO to you Jack Wilder for nailing it!! No pun intended! :) The sex scenes were hot, the love scenes were beautiful and all the while you wrote the awfulness of Wren's ordeal so that I could almost feel what she was going through. As well as the pain and frustration that Stone felt in his searching and rescue of her.

Sobbing wasn't really the word for it. It was something beyond sobbing. It was the sound of a soul being shattered, of terror and pain finally being given true vent.

See what I mean....those few sentences and others like them can evoke such emotion!

For the first time ever, I think, my favorite part of the book was not the Epilogue. And for those of you that know me know how much I love a good Epilogue. However, my favorite part of The Missionary was the chapter just BEFORE the Epilogue! What an amazingly emotional chapter that was. I was in tears!!

I have been pimping this book to all of my friends and will continue to! Keep 'em coming Mr. Wilder, loved every minute!!!

DANIELLE MONSCH
Born to the pothole-ridden streets of Pittsburgh, PA, Danielle Monsch started writing in a time long ago, a time when there were not enough vampire stories to read and she had to write her own to fill the void. Yes, such a time of darkness did indeed exist.

Danielle writes stories full of fantastical goodness and plenty of action, but always with lots of romance (and a bit of woo-hoo!) mixed in. Vampires and Werewolves and Demons and Angels, Sword & Sorcery, Fairy Tales, Updated Mythologies and the like - if it's out of the ordinary, it's fair game for her stories.

MARIE HALL
Marie loves books that make you think, or feel something. Preferably both.
And while she's a total girly girl and loves glitter and rainbows, she's
just as happy when she's writing about the dark underbelly of society.
Well, if things like zombies, and vampires, and werewolves, and mermaids existed. (Although she has it on good authority that mermaids do in fact
exist, because the internet told her so.)

She's married to the love of her life, a sexy beast of a caveman who likes to refer to himself as Big Hunk. She has two awesome kids, lives in Hawaii, loves cooking and occasionally has been known to crochet. She also really loves talking about herself in the third person.
