Tessamari's Crack Books and Favorite Reads of 2014

Happy New Year!

I present to you my Crack Books & Favorite Reads of 2014.

Crack Books
My crème-de-la-crème. These books were downright addicting! These books range from the highly emotional to the downright sexy and erotic. Book funks are always guaranteed. I will never tire of pimping these books.
(In no particular order)
Deliver (Deliver #1) by Pam Godwin
Shock has a way of rousing attention.
This story had a lot of twists and surprises. It amazed me that the plot was so mercifully crafted to make this a very engaging read. (Full Review)
Archer's Voice  (A Sign of Love #4) by Mia Sheridan
Archer Hale’s voice was one of the most beautiful things in the whole wide world. The Hero in this book floored me. Archer made me a swoony mess.

The Dark Light of Day by T.M. Frazier
A revenge kill is the best kind of kill.
But a revenge kill for your family, with your woman's permission?
That's borderline erotic.

Is it wrong to be completely turned upside down and turned on by that? Yea. This book has made an utter mess of me and I'm one happy girl because of it. (Full Review)

Love, in English (Love, in English #1) by Karina Halle
I liked the calm Mateo, the witty Mateo, the lusty Mateo, and the hot-tempered Mateo.
I liked all of him.
No. I loved all of him.
I loved Mateo Casalles.

I am utterly FLOORED by this book. This was STUNNING! As I sit here trying to write this review, I’ve had a few hours to reflect. I’m having trouble finding the adequate words to describe this story. The first words that come to mind are immediately: Beautiful, heartbreaking, conflicting & sweet. (Full Review)

Sweet Rome (Sweet Home #2) by Tillie Cole
“I like the way you are with me. I like me when I’m with you. I feel like I could tell you anything, that I could bear my fuckin’ black soul. You make me feel… well… you know… You get me?”
I don’t think I’ve said it enough, so saying it one more time isn’t going to hurt:
I love you, Romeo Prince…so, so much. (Full Review)

Sweet Fall (Sweet Home #3) by Tillie Cole
“Why the war paint, Pix?”
“Because I can’t stand the girl underneath,” she whispered
“Why the tattoos?” Lexi asked
“Because I can’t bear seeing the scars of my past.”

This story, my God, this story…
This was not an easy read. This was emotional, raw and truly heartbreaking. Yes, this is a love story, but it was so much more than boy meets girl and fall in love. Oh no…it was so much more than that.

It Ain't Me, Babe (Hades Hangmen #1) by Tillie Cole
If this made me a sinner, then I was glad to be a fallen
This is NOT your typical MC story. Oh, no. There are so many other elements that make it stand out.

Please be warned – This is a bit on the darker and edgier side, but that just makes it even more unique. This is phenomenal!! (Full Review)

Heart Recaptured (Hades Hangmen #2) by Tillie Cole

Words that describe this story:

More Than This (More Than #1) by Jay McLean
I more than a lot like it, so much more than a lot.
I ♥ Jake!

The backwards hat, Baseball, Aussie accent... Le Sigh...

Transcendence by Shay Savage
“Hoh!”
I have NEVER, EVER read anything like this before. I’m so amazed at what this author was able to accomplish with this book. I’ve read historical romances before, but pre-historic romance?? I had my doubts, but no more, at least when it comes to Shay Savage’s books.

Black Lies by Alessandra Torre
“I’m worried I’ll fuck you so well I’ll ruin you for life.”
God, I know it was wrong. But in the face of recent events, I closed my eyes to reason.
I liked it. I wanted it. I wanted it to fuck me.
Two words can basically sum up this book: Fucking brilliant. (Full Review)

The Fault in our Stars by John Green
I LOVE YOU, AUGUSTUS!
What a slut time is. She screws everybody.
I do not like sad books, but I do not regret reading this. I’m so thankful for having met Augustus and Hazel. They felt so real and they’ve made such a huge impact on me. My emotions were all over the place and I swear and I have never cried over a character as much as I did over Augustus. (Full Review)

Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn
“A story about a man who has loved me from the very beginning, from the first glance. The man who always was and still is my soul mate. That’s the only love story now.”
DAMN. That was a fucking brilliant!!
My head is still spinning. And just when I think it the rollercoaster was over, I entered another tunnel and was thrust into a whole new are-you-fucking-kidding-me! moment.
Just.
Fucking.
Wow.

Flat-Out Celeste (Flat-Out Love #2) by Jessica Park
To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
I love you, Jessica Park. This was a truly amazing story. I smiled a lot. I cried a lot. I'm still soaring.

Favorites
These books were addictive in their own way and have made an memorable impact on me. Lots of emotions and lots swoon-worthy Heroes in this bunch. These books kick a lot of ass and have every right to be pimped out by me.
