Title: The Will
Author: Kristen Ashley
Series: Magdalene #1
Release Date: April 8, 2014

Early in her life, Josephine Malone learned the hard way that there was only one person she could love and trust: her grandmother, Lydia Malone. She led a globetrotting lifestyle on the fringes of the fashion and music elite, but she kept herself distant.

While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia. There was nothing disguised about Jake. Including the fact he made a habit of making very bad decisions about who to give his love.

But for Josephine and Jake, there was one person who adored them. One person who knew how to lead them to happiness. And one person who was intent on doing it.

Even if she had to do it as her final wish on this earth.

Now, like any die hard KA fan I have my favorite stories and my favorite Alpha's but I love them all! Sometimes I feel like my reviews of her books are all just me gushing but seriously....I LOVE THEM!

Deck and Emme were no exception!! Jacob Decker is the most amazing Alpha, and add to that he is a genius, oh and don't even get me started on Emme. What an awesome chick. But them all the KA chicks are so cool. Chicks I wish were part of my very own girl posse!

Deck and Emme have known each other for years but lost touch when Emme's best friend dumped Deck and he moved on. They have now found their way back to each other and finally wised up, both of them, and realized they belong together. Now, like any good KA story there is a lot of love and delicious sex, but there is also a little mystery and suspense. Excerpt

When I saw who was outside, my mouth dropped open.

Luckily, the doorbell buzzing stopped.

Unluckily, the last person on earth I wanted to see was standing outside my door.

Jesus, you don’t have a peephole?” Ham growled, looking incensed and Graham Reece looking, or worse, being incensed was a very bad thing. I’d learned that five months ago.

I didn’t have it in me to concern myself with Ham being incensed. I was more concerned with him being there at all.

To express this, I asked, “What the hell?”

Open the fuckin’ door, Zara.”

I stared a beat, then pulled myself together.

This was not happening.

We were done.

I pushed the door closed.

The problem with this was it didn’t work, seeing as the toe of Ham’s boot was wedged between it and the jamb.

Open the door, Zara,” he repeated.

We’re done,” I told him through the gap in the door. “Move your foot.”

Open the door.”

We’re done, Ham,” I snapped.

Right, then move back.”

What?”

He didn’t repeat his order. He moved his foot but only so he could rear back and plant his shoulder in the door.

The chain popped right open, as did the door, and I went flying.

I righted myself as Ham, now in my apartment, slammed the door.

You’re payin’ for that!” I yelled.

His eyes were beyond me, examining my new space as his mouth moved.

Not a problem. I’ll reimburse what they take out of your security deposit when we move you out of this dump.”

I didn’t know what he meant and I also didn’t care.

I switched subjects.

How did you get here so fast?” I asked, and his eyes finally came to me.

I hope to Christ you didn’t miss local gossip because you’re spendin’ your days at Deluxe Home Store and your nights at some titty bar.”

I’m not working at a titty bar, Ham, so you can stop concerning yourself with me and move on”—I paused—“again.” I bit off the last word then what he said penetrated and I asked, “What gossip?”

Managing The Dog, Zara, have been for a week. I live in Gnaw Bone.”

I felt my eyes get huge as my stomach clenched.

You’re managing The Dog?” I whispered, aghast.

Yeah. And you just got a new job. You start after you work out your notice at Deluxe,” he returned.

What?” This also came out quiet and horrified.

You’re waitressin’ for me. Shit hours but, if I remember correctly and since the view hasn’t changed except to get better, with your face, tits, and ass, great tips. In the meantime, we’re movin’ you out of this shithole and, you don’t got a girl who can take you on, you’re bunkin’ with me.”

Bunking with him?

Was he high?

I am not moving in with you,” I declared.

Author Bio
Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.
Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake.
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Those of you that know me know all about my love for all thing Kristen Ashley. Now some I love a little more than others, but they are all simply varying degrees of love!

Jagged is no exception. The Colorado Mountain series holds a special place in my heart as it was my very first KA series. I popped by KA cherry on it if you will. :)

Jagged is the story of Graham Reese. Now we first met Graham in book one of The Burg series 'For You' - he was one of Feb's guys when she was traveling the roads. I am going to suggest that if you haven't, you should read 'For You' before this one.

Anyway, Graham, who goes by Ham, which is the only thing that I didn't like about this story. I hate that name. To me he is more of a Graham, but I digress. Graham is kind of a ramblin' man and has women all over. Now I know that sounds bad but they all know they are not his one and only and enjoy each other when he is in their town. Zara Cinders has loved Ham for a long time but ends this arrangement with Ham when she decides to get married, she knows he is not going to settle down so she tried to move on, and he accepts this. He doesn't like it but he accepts it.

Three years later all that changes. Zara is no longer married and barely making it and when Ham gets wind of this he high tails it back to her. Ham has a rough couple years(if you have read For You then you know what I'm talking about) and has realized life is to short not to go claim the woman he loves! And claim her he does in that fucking awesome KA Alpha way!

"Don't have a line to the devil, Ham." "Bullshit, babe. Somewhere along the line you made a deal with him. No woman who gives head the way you do hasn't sold her soul for that ability."

Lines like that make this classic Kristen Ashley. What I love most about these books is they make me laugh and cry and swoon over the yummy in your face Alpha's that she writes so well!
