This is my first time
reading anything from Kresley Cole. I wasn't sure what to expect,
but...DAYUM...Part 1 left me INTRIGUED and wanting MORE!!!
Although I had a few
issues, after I reached the half-way mark I could not put down this
story! There is major insta-attraction going on right in the
beginning. What can I say about Sevastyan? He is...
Dark, Dangerous,
Domineering!!!
We learn that he works for
Natalie's father as a bodyguard/enforcer/professional hit man.
Perhaps the only thing I didn't like is that he calls Natalie “pet”.
As much as Sevastyan is as attracted to and can't help fool around a
bit with Natalie, his mind is going Nyet, Nyet Nyet!!! His
loyalty ultimately belongs to her father. She should be off limits,
right? Well, Natalie is a determined one, and she's got her sights
on Sevastyan to be her first. Oh, the tension is high!
I have to admit that I
almost gave up on this novella. The majority of the erotic scenes
are in the first half, and I wondered if the entire thing was going
to be a string of erotic scenes, but the second half is
where all the grand opulence comes to play. The reader is
transported to chilly Russia, and we get a little more back history
of some of the characters. There's a threat simmering in the
background, but really nothing big happens in the suspense
department. Part 1 really only lays down a foundation for the rest
of the series and whets your appetite. There is a big CLIFFHANGER!!!
Grrrr! WHY?!?! I want more Sevastyan! Hurry up, Part 2!
