As Reapers Motorcycle Club president,
Reese “Picnic” Hayes has given his entire life to the club. After losing his
wife, he knew he’d never love another woman. And with two daughters to raise
and a club to manage, that was just fine with him. These days, Reese keeps his
relationships free and easy—he definitely doesn’t want to waste his time on a
glorified cleaning lady like London Armstrong.
Too bad he’s completely obsessed with
her.
Besides running her own business,
London’s got her junkie cousin’s daughter to look after—a more reckless than
average eighteen-year-old. Sure she’s attracted to the Reapers’ president, but
she’s not stupid. Reese Hayes is a criminal and a thug. But when her young
cousin gets caught up with a ruthless drug cartel, Reese might be the only man
who can help her. Now London has to make the hardest decision of her life—how
far will she go to save her family?
4.5 Stars
“Because
if you look at me like that for even one more second I’m gonna throw you down
on that bed and fuck every part of you, starting with your tits. Unless that’s
on the menu, you need to grab your shit and leave while you still can. This is
the only warning you’ll get.”
First things
first: Picnic is definitely a D.I.L.F. I LOVED HIM!!
Ok. Now that’s
out of the way, onward to my review.
Picnic &
London had a tough order to fill. I LOVED Hunter & Em’s book. Though this
book didn’t quite top that one, I did fall in love with Picnic. As for London,
well, she’s honestly the reason why I couldn’t give this a full five stars.
“Christ,
you’d be perfect if you didn’t have such a stick up your ass.”
London, London,
London. Love your name, but you drove me completely NUTS!!! I admire how strong
and independent you are, but some of the decisions you made… ((rolls eyes,
shakes head)) Ok. Sorry. I digress.
London runs her
own cleaning business. She’s smart, savvy and is in charge. She tries to keep
her head on straight, and veers away from trouble, hence why she doesn’t want
anything to do with the local MC. However, fate had other ideas. While trying
to retrieve her rebellious charge, Jessica, from the clubhouse she finds
herself gaining the attention of the Club’s President, Reese “Picnic” Hayes.
My cock
throbbed. Literally. I felt each pulsing heartbeat hit it like a sledgehammer.
I wanted to kill her. Fuck her, then kill her.
Oh, Picnic.
Don’t let the fact that he’s an older Hero deter you from reading this. I know
age doesn’t matter, but seriously…he’s just as sexy and virile as any man 15
years younger than him. He also contains all those Alpha characteristics we all
crave in our MC Heroes: Possessive, protective and stubborn. London walking
into his life throws him off kilter, and you know this man won’t give up until
he gets what he wants.
“Take
something off, because otherwise I’m going to start ripping things.”
Like I
mentioned before, the only reason why I couldn’t give it the full five stars
was because of London. Don’t get me wrong, I loved her character, but she does
something so incredibly stupid that I couldn’t help but wanting to virtually
slap her upside her head...ugh! But aside from her moment of stupidity, this
was an amazing read and it just solidifies why I love this series so much.
Can’t wait for more!

EXCERPT
“Okay, let’s get some shit straight and
then you can head out.” Great, here it came. The Talk. Fortunately I was ahead
of him for once.
“Don’t worry, Reese. I know this was just
a one-off for you, and that you don’t want a relationship. That’s what I needed,
too, so in a way it’s perfect. No harm, no foul. We can just pretend this never
happened.”
A scowl covered his face. “What the fuck
are you talking about?”
“Us. Or rather, the fact that there isn’t
an ‘us.’ I get it—you like to sleep around. I had a good time, but I’m not
expecting a ring or anything.”
His eyes widened, and I smirked.
“Although I’ll be around if you want
another booty call,” I added slyly.
Yay me!
I’m a sophisticated woman who knows the difference between love and sex.
Reese’s scowl grew deeper, and then
suddenly he moved and I was under him, pinned down against the bed. He pulled
my hands up, holding them prisoner above my head.
“Are you fucked in the head?” he demanded
harshly. “You get laid for the first time in years, it’s phenomenal—”
“Well, aren’t you the modest one?”
“It’s phenomenal,”
he repeated, emphasizing the word heavily. “And now you’re just going to ignore
me? I am not fuckin’ down with that.”
